'DOGS SCRATCH BACK AT THE 'CATS, WIN 11-2!
Kris Johnson earns his first Double-A win - Pinckney and Khoury combined for 9 RBI

(Portland, ME) – Andrew Pinckney blasted a grand slam and knocked in five runs as the Sea Dogs (14-4) cruised to an 11-2 victory over the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (4-13) on Tuesday night at Hadlock Field. Ryan Khoury had two doubles and 4 RBI to cap off a 14-hit attack for Portland and even their 3-game series with New Hampshire to one game apiece.

Kris Johnson (1-0) earned his first Double-A victory, working 5 and 2/3 innings on four hits and two runs (one earned). Johnson allowed both runs in the sixth inning and left the game after his sixth strikeout.

The fifth inning was the magic frame for the Sea Dogs, scoring five times off losing pitcher Brandon Magee (0-3). Jeff Corsaletti initiated the scoring by blasting a solo home run over the center-field wall. Magee loaded the bases on Madera’s single and hit Aaron Bates and John Otness – setting up the grand slam to Pinckney.

Bubba Bell added a solo-homer in the seventh inning off Kyle Yates. Bell has homered twice this week, including a grand-slam at Binghamton on April 18.

Jose Vaquedano, Miguel Ascencio and Mike James combined for 3 and 1/3 innings of scoreless relief for the 'Dogs.

Portland had a baserunner in all nine innings with eight of nine starters picking up at least one hit. Madera and Otness had two hits and scored two runs.

The two teams will wrap up their 3-game series on Wednesday afternoon at 12:00 PM - Dustin Richardson takes on Ricky Romero.

Notes...Andrew Pinckney's 5 RBI was a career-high with the Sea Dogs - he has seven of his 15 career Double-A home runs against New Hampshire...The Sea Dogs are hitting .456 (21-for-46) with runners-in-scoring position and two outs in their last six games.
